A Kookaburra! Adal actually had to look up the spelling. And walking on, they saw the Koalas!
Mondays.

I can haz cheezburger?
A platypus! Besides the bad lighting, it was also diving all over and really hard to snap.
A croc! Crikey!
Penguins! This made up for our missed Phillip Island Trip, hee hee.
Luminous Jellyfish! SO pretty.
And we went into a separate enclosure where we came face to face with the massive Dugong!
The Dugong was actually what most people feel was the creature that had been mistaken for mermaids. In other words, a drunk or delirious sailor had seen a Dugong in the ocean, and thought it was a human torso on the fish tail, hence causing the Mermaid legend to arise. Maybe Ariel has large nostrils, like the Dugong.
Underwater World
Shark backside
Shark bellyside
Really big Sea Turtle
Another I can haz Cheezburger look.
So pretty!
Finishing our walk in Sydney Aquarium, we exited at the Aquarium souveneir store and bought lots of stuff for our colleagues and friends. Adal bought some cute Koala clipons for his colleages, and Adal bought soft toys for her NS boys!
Cockle Bay Wharf - great view, fresh air, vibrant area and good food!
Happy birthday to.. storks? They were having a month long celebration of fireworks in the Cockle Bay Wharf Area when we were there, but we sadly missed it because our itinerary was just too tight - we had to get back to pack for our flight tomorrow morning!
Our lunch was at Macdonald's - Adal wanted to see how different it was! Adel tried the chicken sandwich, and Adal tried the lean beef - Adel liked hers, but Adal didn't (even though it was really healthy). In the course of their meal, a pigeon flew onto their table and stared at them with its beady eyes, commenting (coo-ing) quite loudly about "these rude young people thesedays" like an old man. Then, just like an old man, it pooped on the dining table. We left quite quickly and retreated into the nearby mall.
Australian Food courts are very open and spacious. Maybe because not many people patronize it usually?
Last view of the bay before we left for our hotel with all our bags of souveneirs. Although we had made a reservation for dinner at Nick's Seafood, we decided not to go because we needed to pack, and we were running short of cash. So we settled, once again, for the best choice near our hotel: La Bora!
