Great Weekend

Adal and Adel went SENTOSA on National Day!!! =DDD

This particular event has been in planning since last year, and the last time A&A went to Sentosa was on the 25th November, 2006 (Since it was exactly 2 days after A&A got together =D)

This time round, we got to see so many of the wonderful places! We didn't spend so much time on the beach, but that was because it was crowded. SUPER Crowded. With indians. Adal thinks it's because it's the cheapest place where so many people can be congregated legally.

Anyway.

MORNING!! Adal first prepared some lunch to be brought over - Smoked Turkey breast sandwiches baked with rosemary and cheese with plenty of mustard and tomato sauce, and a cooler box with a small bottle of soya bean milk and fruit juice covered liberally in ice so that it would remain cold.

We both first went to get the tram tickets since the queue was still sparse, and then went down to Food Republic in Vivo around 10am to get breakfast from Toast Box - Adal had the standard kaya and butter with Iced black coffee and eggs, and Adel had bread with floss and iced milk coffee and eggs. We then traipsed down to Guardian to get wet wipes since we both knew it'd get really really hot in the afternoon.

Then it was tram time!!! The crowd really started filing in around 10.30am.

View of the churning sea *hurk* from the tram

Arrived!! Adel the eager tourist.
First attraction we tried was the Skyride!

Skyride contraption. Looks menacingly mechanical hor.

And it's UP-UP-AND-AWAYYYYY

Nice view from the top right. Adal almost widdled himself because he's afraid of heights. But he bravely braved the ride with bravado because of THE POWER OF LOVE. And because he didn't want to look like a chicken.

See?! See?! High up Right?! Imagine how many months a person would spend in hospital if he fell.

We landed safely though we had to scurry a bit to avoid getting our legs caught in the metal benches (which don't stop for you to get off - you get off and start running.)

Next attraction we tried was the 4D Magix!

Ticketing counter.

*grinz* The thing you see on the bottom left is the cooler box lor.
The Pirate show was wild!! The show had actual water spraying on our faces when the ship hit the water, and the seats jerked when the characters were hit or when explosions were on the screen. A&A both found the jerking thing quite irritating though, like someone kicking the back of your seat very hard constantly.
Next up, Nature Walk!!
Happy Adal getting stung by insects

Angelic photo in the middle of the nature walk!!

Waterfall in the nature walk! There were 2 of them, I think.

We exited around the Underwater World area, but gave up when we saw the exorbitant prices and the long queue. We instead opted to go for the fish spa.

The initial feeling was quite prickly, but was quite ok after 10 minutes. A couple of malay girls who were seated at the same pool were squealing away and for the best part of 10 minutes, kept their feet up on the benches while staring like cats at the fish. Quite funny heh heh heh.

Adel : "La la la la la~ nice fishy =D"

Adal : "OMG THEY'RE EATING MY LEGS ARRRR--IMMA GONNA GO HOME INNA WHEELCHAIR!! GEROFFGEROFFGEROFF---"
Fish : "BUFFET!!! WAAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHA NOM-NOM-NOM-NOM-NOM-NOM-NOM-NOM"
We then exited and made our way to a shaded area for our lunch. The turkey sandwich was nice!! And the soya bean and fruit juice managed to stay refreshingly cold throughout! =D

We then took the bus to the beach but got lost and minced around for a while, enjoying the scenery and complaining about our poor poor feet.
Look, Tree! Look, Pavement! People! Oh WoW! It's like Disneyland!

Beach! =D

Beach 2!
After the beach we both went down to my grandmother's place for dinner and to watch the National Day Parade, leaving around 9pm.
We slept early (around 11 pm?) hoping to wake up for a run, but instead woke up at 10am, late for church even =.=''''
We then opted to meet our friend for New Creation Church Service at 2.30pm, and managed to catch Pastor Mark's HILARIOUS service on Chinese Traditions and Rituals! Then we had dinner at Fish&Co's and went home =))
GLORIOUS WEEKEND SPENT WITH YOU BABY!! =DDD
