Wedding!! Batch 1!

Most brides and grooms are really excited on the day of their wedding, and for Adal and Adel it was no different. On the night of the 26th, Adal was busy packing stuff for the next day, Adel was talking with her mother (last conversation with a purely mother-daughter relationship; thereafter it'd be a mother-daughter/wife of a man/mother), so they sat up talking until 2am plus.

Adal, on the other hand, really wanted to sleep but couldn't sleep until 2am anyway. Hmmph.

As a result, Adel woke up at 4.30am, still looking rather sleepy and rather glum, like a person who's only had around 2 hours sleep. We hear her bridesmaid was no better, cos she slept around 3am.

The make-up artist was exactly on time, and started make-up almost on the dot. The photographer (Adeline's friend, Shaoguang) had to reach around 4.30am as well, and despite the lack of sleep, he did a fantastic job! (As you can see from the unadulterated photos)

Brothers snifling indignantly with righteous expectancy. The guy you see on the far left is an Oxford Scholar and Adal's friend/manager. They're the same age, too!

Groom with cake in mouth. The cake had stuff like chilli, pepper, soy sauce, pasta sauce and all sorts of devilry only women can cook up. It actually tasted revolting to someone who's actually had raw oysters and found them palatable.

Bridesmaid Joanne and Best man WeeKiat.
Adal and Adel both agreed that we made a good choice of people, though all of them looked much more attractive than the groom and bride heh heh heh.

Adel's mother and Adal's mother-in-law! That was a very interesting dress she wore, we thought.

One of the Trio of musicians hired for the church interim! We had honestly expected the flutist to be female and the cellist to be male (since the cello is much heavier), but we were quite tickled to find out it was the other way round.

Our contact person, Magdalene Lam - the Harpist who stole our hearts but was a little brutesque. Adal felt it was it was a little weird to be aggressive when playing a gentle instrument, but the music was great.

Flowergirl Jemima!! She went through a few rehearsals on the 23rd, but was still quite stunned to see the crowd (despite the back rows of the pews being empty). She did a great job, though, and looked so pretty coming down the aisle!

*giggles*

David and Gwen! Our esteemed guests from America - they hadn't seen a Chinese Tea ceremony before, so they were there to see the procedure; it wasn't very traditional, but otherwise the motions were adhered to heh heh.

Our cheeky but adorable page boy - he was threatening to throw our rings away just before the procession! And then he threatened to kick Adel's flowers away as well. But then again, even with just one rehearsal, he got everything spot-on! Adal feels his cheekiness is something only the very bright are able to do.
